Anti-Tuberculosis Probiotic
Overview
Microbiota therapeutics hold promise as therapeutics for infectious diseases such as tuberculosis. By leveraging the capacity of dairy fermentations, we are producing engineered microbes which prevent M. tuberculosis infection. This may provide a crucial therapeutic component to the global TB response and serve as a proof-of-concept for a platform enabling the production of low-cost therapeutics using synthetic biology.
